It starts today

I have started and stopped more times than I can count. I hope that this time will be the last time. I know it is going to be a struggle. I know that it is going to be hard. I know that it will take time and that I can't lose overnight what I have gained in 3 years. I'm not sure what I will post here, but I want a journal for myself that will document this journey.

I joined a challenge at SparkPeople in the 30 Something Moms group. It will run for 12 weeks. My goal for 12 weeks will be to lose 1 pound a week. But I plan to use the WW plan to help me achieve my goals. In the meantime, here is a glimpse of how I am going to work towards my goal.

My current weight: 209.5
My ideal weight range: 106-136.5
My goal: 135 - 140

Major Milestones: 10% - 21 pounds - 193.5 - a pedicure - goal date February 2, 2009
10% - 19 pounds - 174.5 - a massage - goal date June 15, 2009
10% - 17 pounds - 157.5 - ???????? - goal date October 12, 2009
10% - 15 pounds - 142.5 - ???????? - goal date January 25, 2010
5% - 7.5 pounds - 135 - REACHED GOAL - - goal date March 22, 2010

My inspiration:
1. first and foremost for myself
2. to wear that pink halter dress that's been hanging in my closet for over a year now (that I didn't get to wear to a wedding)
3. I felt so much better and was so much more active 50 pounds ago
